What lies does the enemy want you to believe about your temptation:
1. That the pleasure of it is far greater than anything else that you can ever experience. Nothing can satisfy you quite in the way that this can
2. That somehow it is worth sacrificing everything for. Maybe not a conscious decision but a decision nonetheless
3. That you’ve got no way out. That you are weak and you can not fight this.
4. That it is better to deal with the devastating repercussions of this than to fight it
5. That you will be empty without it
Fight the enemy with God’s word.
1. The pleasures of sin can not sustain you
2. In me (God), you find everything you need. All joy, all peace, all hope, all strength.
3. I would not ask you to give something up if I did not have a) The certitude that you would be a thousand times better without it, and b) The ability to sustain you without it.
